In recent years decking has become a popular additional feature to many garden areas. What is often overlooked is the fact that it does require ongoing maintenance to keep it looking new. 

Decked areas often look great at first but can soon look grubby and dirty and lose the original colour. It can also become covered in algae, and surface growth, leaving it very slippery and possibly dangerous when wet.
